This painting depicts a peculiar state of one's transitional existence in-between opposites, in a void of reason and understanding, an intermezzo of a lucid dream. Brought here to this isolated architecturally surreal place by an unknown force, a force that is lurking amidst the different shades of the self & the perception of the world, its functions & instances, a force recognized and yet incomprehensible, one is simply placed here without any feeling of belonging.
The people in this place are in limbo, unfinished, incomplete, they are under construction, they are ageless, formless & empty and yet they exist, they are. 'I am looking outside the window and I see nothing but the wind, the leaves are lying on the floor, the trees are still, nothing moves. I see the wind. I see it clearly.' |
