An opportunity for local artists to exhibit works on paper as part of the Margate Festival 2017, at Chiara Williams Contemporary Art, 8 July – 16 July.
Eligibility: Open to all artists based in Margate, Thanet and Kent
Cost to participate: Free
Deadline for online submissions: Monday 26 June 2017
Deadline for delivery of work: Monday 3 July 2017
Guidelines:
Size: Work must be MAX A3 in size (29.7 x 42 cm), ON PAPER, UNFRAMED, UNMOUNTED and designed for WALL-HANGING (work will be displayed using a magnetic hanging system). You can submit more than one work if you wish; we will guarantee to show one, and will show more than one if space permits.
Theme: There is no theme for submissions, but for more about the nature of the exhibition, please read the more about the exhibition here.
Sales: all exhibited works must be available for sale and prices will be standardised based on to their nearest size: A3 @ £200, A4 @ £100, A5 @ £50. Chiara Williams will retain 50% commission on any sales.
How to participate:
1) Submit your work: please email a jpg photograph of your work to: [email protected] by 26 June (we may share your work online and on social media.) You can submit more than one work if you wish; we will guarantee to show one, and will show more than one if space permits.
2) Deliver your work: by hand on Sunday 2nd July 4-5pm or Monday 3rd July 10-11am, or send by post no later than 30 June (postmark) to 4 Royal York Mansions, The Parade, Margate CT9 1EZ.
3) Collect your work: after the exhibition, work must be collected on either Sunday 6th August 4-5pm or Monday 7th August 10-11am. Work will NOT be returned by post or courier.
