Margate's very first salon, DRY RUN is an ongoing series of monthly gatherings, in the form of peer-to-peer critiques structured around presentations of work-in-progress; a safe and supportive space in which practitioners can test out new work and ideas and receive feedback and constructive criticism.
DRY RUN hosts intimate evenings numbering no more than 15 participants, for artists, curators, writers and arts professionals. Held in the beautiful Royal York Mansions in Margate Old Town, opposite Turner Contemporary, DRY RUN is always lubricated!
Each of the 'art crit' sessions is centred around the work of two artists or curators. Chiara Williams invites a practitioner to invite another practitioner and each of these invite 5 guests each to attend the evening event. DRY RUN is documented and recorded online after the event.
